As soon as the bones are cut, they are sealed in durable, resealable bags and frozen for your order. When we pack everything, each box is built to safeguard quality without leaving a heavy carbon footprint. Recyclable cardboard dividers and butcher paper insure none of your packages get damaged. Biodegradable insulation and dry ice keeps everything frozen in route to your front door step. Even the plastic wrap that contains the insulation and the dry ice can be recycled (look for your local plastic film drop-off locations). This is straight-from-the-butcher quality you can taste!
An important note to our fellow dog lovers:
Although our bones are nutritionally fine for your pet, please take note that they are cut to 2" in length for ideal broth-making size. This is not ideal for many dogs. The standard rule is to not feed bones to your dog if they are shorter than their snout - otherwise they are a choking hazard.
